The SHOEMAN partnership was established on the basis of combining the different backgrounds, experience and expertise of 10 partners from 8 countries, who have had experience in implementing transnational projects, in the field of vocational training, or in the field of footwear industry, in order to complement one another regarding their role in the project.

TASEV TASEV was founded in 1997 by 100 leading companies, under the leadership of the Turkish Footwear Industry Suppliers Association, Turkish Footwear Industry Association and Turkish Footwear Industry Federation. TASEV’s objectives are:

  • To achieve sustainable competitive advantage in world markets for Turkey’s footwear industry;
  • To provide communication between historical, cultural, natural and production resources;
  • To ensure educated human resources at every grade by opening education-training institutions and to supporting the existing ones.
TASEV School TASEV Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School is the biggest and the most comprehensive school in the field of footwear and good leather at the level of high school in Turkey. There are two branches at school: Shoe Modelist and Shoe Product. The school also provides a 2 year higher education programme with the name of Footwear Design and Production in cooperation with Istanbul University and also Tasev Foundation Research and Development Centre (R&D) and Footwear Testing Laboratory. The school has the capacity for 500 students and it has a 100 student hostel in the campus. 
Technical University of Crete TUC is a small, young, dynamic University with a clear mission: to expand knowledge and benefit society through research integrated with education. Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi TUIASI has been classified as university of advanced research and education and it is accredited by the National Agency for Scientific Research as being a component institution of the national research. The University has around 13000 students within 62 engineering specializations (BSc), 84 Master of Science programmes, 13 doctoral domains organized at the level of 11 faculties and 10 doctoral schools with 478 Ph.D. students, 177 Ph.D. supervisors. TUIASI has an important research dimension, with 23 accredited research/excellence centres and laboratories focused on creating and transferring knowledge, especially in multi-disciplinary high-tech engineering areas.
CRETHIDEV CRE.THI.DEV. is a non-profit company aimed at community development through the research and development of action plans, focused on the local and social economies, mainly on the fields of life-long learning, environmental protection, employment and local development, throughout Greece. The company establishes close cooperation with local and regional authorities, government authorities and business associations in order to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development through research and the raising of awareness in local communities towards available development projects.
CIAPE CIAPE is the Italian National Centre for Permanent Learning, a non-profit private organisation. The Italian Centre for Permanent Learning – is an innovative organization, born with the aim to lead to success a constantly changing community. We believe that only lifelong learning guarantees the individual competitiveness in a global labour market. CIAPE carries out training activities to develop and validate soft skills, as well as competences required in the future labour market.
ISC The International Shoe Competence Center Pirmasens gGmbH or for short ISC Germany is a non-profit, private training and research centre for the leather and footwear industry from production to retail. ISC is based in Germany and operates on a global scale. ISC-Germany is a central contact point for all matters relating to footwear production, footwear, leather goods, leather apparel, as well as the materials and the machines needed to manufacture these products and also marketing and sales.
INESCOP INESCOP is a non-profit organisation created in 1971. It is a service organisation developing scientific and technical activities addressing the needs of the footwear industries and related industries that cannot normally be solved individually by the companies due to their small size. Their staff of over 130 professionals includes experts in chemistry, physics, biomechanics, computer science, electronics, ICT, design, CAD/CAM, manufacturing tools and processes, art and design, and robotics. INESCOP coordinates the CEN TC 309 “Footwear” standardization committee.
COKA The Czech Footwear and Leather Association (CFLA or COKA in Czech) comprises approximately 55 companies and institutions concerned with manufacture, sale as well as research and testing of footwear, shoe materials and components in the territory of the Czech Republic. At present, the Czech Footwear and Leather Association is also an information centre for businessmen in the leather industry within the project of the Czech Republic‘s Economic Chamber. The Czech Footwear and Leather Association is a member of the European Confederation of the Shoe Retailers‘ Associations (CEDDEC). It is also a member of the International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (UITIC).
Virtual Campus Virtual Campus is a development, training and consulting SME in the areas of Information Systems and Technology Enhanced Learning. Its vision is to actively promote the development of the Knowledge Society by supporting public and private entities in the process of designing and developing strategies and projects that lead to increased societal benefits. Virtual Campus staff experience includes participation and coordination of projects financed by National and European programmes like LLP, ESF, LEONARDO, SOCRATES, IST and EQUAL. Virtual Campus also has close links with external consultants for other specific areas of expertise.
